April 17, 2024 – Coffee, Cases & Hot Topics
The Cleveland FBI Violent Crime Task Force (VCTF) is home to a unique initiative created to address the high rate of unsolved homicides in our city. The “Cleveland Homicide Initiative” partners two city homicide detectives with two FBI VCTF Agents to work on cases unlikely to reach a disposition if not for the attention of this specialized group. We will be presenting a single case resolved by the CHI involving the murder of an unidentified 17 year old girl found shot to death in a city park in April of 2021.

Home Depot Manager Robert McDougald secures donation of 1000 Blue Light Bulbs for “Light Ohio Blue Campaign”
President John Kikol met with Home Depot Manager Robert McDougald in 2022 in an effort to secure a donation of blue light bulbs is support of “LIGHT OHIO BLUE” a campaign to express our support for the law enforcement community by putting a blue light bulb in home pole light on in the front of their homes. Unfortunately, due to logistics programs we missed the 2022 campaign but thanks to Bob’s perseverance he was able to get a donation of 1000 blue light bulbs, which we were able to distribute to many North East Ohio Police Departments for their local residents. We hope to continue this program in 2024 for National Police Week during the week of May 15th.
