FBICLECAAA HONORS ALUMNUS GRACE LEON WITH  A COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD 

FBI Cleveland Citizens Academy Alumni Grace Leon received the Community Service award presented by John C Kikol.


The award was presented at the offices of the Cleveland Federal Bureau of Investigation from both John C Kikol and FBI Agent in Charge of the Cleveland Office Gregory D. Nelsen.

John indicated that Grace Leon is a survivor, whose husband, Wayne Leon, was a Cleveland police officer killed in the line of duty on June 25, 2000.  She had to raise three small children and yet she was always available to assist other police survivor families and became actively involved in Ohio’s  “Concerns Of Police Survivors” (C.O.P.S.) which organizes a summer camp each year for the children of Fallen Officers. Grace  has been recently involved in supporting the families of Fallen Officers Euclid Police Officer Derbin and Cleveland Police Officer Ritter. Grace works in the Homicide Department in the City of Cleveland she tries to find safe housing for victims of violent crime so that they can feel safe to testify against violent criminals.  Grace  is a crisis intervention specialist and a strong supporter of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. In August of she was given the highest award from US Marshall Peter J Elliott from the US Marshall Service as “Citizen of the Year”.

MISSION

The FBI Cleveland Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBICLECAAA) is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization that supports local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

The goal of the FBICLECAAA is to promote public safety and security through its two pillars of Community Engagement/Awareness and Education/Training which promote a greater understanding of the FBI mission by organizing various community programs.


The FBI Cleveland Citizens Academy Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization separate and apart from the FBI.
