1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to the Federal Bureau of Investigation Cleveland Citizens Academy Alumni Association Cleveland Chapter ("FBICLECAAA," "we," "us," or "our") website located at https://www.fbiclecaaa.org/ (the "Site").

By accessing or using this Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this Site. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Eligibility and Membership

2.1 Eligibility

Membership in FBICLECAAA is available to graduates of the FBI Cleveland Citizens Academy Alumni Association program conducted by the FBI Cleveland Division. By applying for membership or using member-only features of this Site, you represent and warrant that:

• You are a graduate of an FBI Citizens Academy program
• You are at least 18 years of age
• All information you provide is accurate and current
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms

2.2 Membership Requirements

Members must maintain active status by:

• Paying annual membership dues by specified deadlines
• Complying with the organization's bylaws and code of conduct
• Providing accurate contact and profile information
• Upholding the values and mission of the FBI Citizens Academy program

2.3 Membership Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership for violations of these Terms, organizational policies, or conduct detrimental to the organization. Members may resign at any time by written notice. Membership dues are non-refundable except as required by law.

3. Use of the Website

3.1 License to Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes related to your membership and participation in FBICLECAAA activities.

3.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or these Terms
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Use the Site for any commercial purpose without our written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Site
• Collect or harvest information about other users without consent
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Post or transmit any unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content

• Violate the privacy rights of other members

• Engage in conduct that damages the reputation of FBICLECAAA

The FBI seal, name, and related marks are the property of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and are used with permission for official FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association purposes only.

4.2 Limited Use Rights

You may view, download, and print Content from the Site for personal, non-commercial use only, provided you:

• Do not modify or alter the Content
• Maintain all copyright and proprietary notices
• Do not use Content for commercial purposes without written permission
• Do not use the FBICLECAAA seal or marks except as authorized

4.3 User-Generated Content

5. Events and Programs

5.1 Registration and Payment

Event registration may require advance payment. By registering for events, you agree to:

• Pay all applicable fees by specified deadlines

• Understand that registration may be subject to capacity limits

5.2 Cancellation and Refunds

Event cancellation and refund policies will be specified for each event. Generally:

• Cancellations by attendees may result in forfeiture of fees unless made by specified deadlines
• We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events due to circumstances beyond our control
• Refunds for organization-canceled events will be provided as specified in event terms

5.3 Photography and Recording

By attending FBICLECAAA events, you consent to being photographed, recorded, or otherwise documented, and grant us permission to use such images and recordings for promotional and organizational purposes.

7.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FBICLECAAA, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO:

• Your use or inability to use the Site
• Any content or conduct on the Site
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any third-party content or conduct

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Relationship with the FBI

FBICLECAAA is an independent alumni organization of graduates of the FBI Citizens Academy program. While we maintain a cooperative relationship with the FBI Cleveland Division:

• We are not an agency or instrumentality of the FBI or U.S. Government
• We do not have law enforcement authority
• Our views and activities are not endorsed by or attributable to the FBI
• Information shared on our Site is not official FBI communication

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12.2 Jurisdiction

Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.

12.3 Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any legal action, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us. If a dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may pursue formal legal remedies.

12.4 Class Action Waiver

You agree to bring any claims against us on an individual basis only and not as part of any class or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

14. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any event-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and FBICLECAAA regarding your use of the Site and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

16. Updates to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes may be communicated via email or prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
